About me
Hello! My name is Stephanie Hrit, LMSW and I am the founder, and therapist, here at Phoenix Rising Therapy! I provide person-centered therapy services to individuals looking for hope, healing, and empowerment.
I am a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist who utilizes a strengths-based approached, coupled with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy, and more.
I graduated with a Master of Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University in 2019. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings, with many different populations.
I began my career in a private practice, focusing primarily on substance use, veterans, and their families. Subsequently, I worked as a home-based therapist for five years, providing services to adolescents and families. During this period, I transitioned roles and started working with the Intensive Outpatient Program and managed the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program at my location.
I have many dogs and am generally a huge animal lover! Animals are always welcome to pop into sessions, and my little French Bulldog secretary - Buggsy - will always be right at my side. When I am not working, I am usually snuggling or playing with my dogs, reading a good book, catching up on a show with my husband, or playing a video game.
My specialties include empowerment, self-esteem, impulsivity, relationship instability, intense emotions, work related stress, burn out, depression, and anxiety.
About Phoenix Rising Therapy
Phoenix Rising Therapy has been my dream since I was a teenager. I have always felt a deep connection to a Phoenix and the concept of being reborn from the ashes. I have been the ashes several times in my life, for one reason or another, and stand firm in one’s ability to rise from them! I believe in renewal and hope - a Phoenix.
